The DAS website is down and we don't know for how long. Our webmaster is out of state, and we may have to wait for his return to see if come back online. Our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

The Scholarship Fund is accepting applications from students who will be pursuing a four-year degree in the physical sciences, preferably related to astronomy, astrophysics, and related engineering.

Please spread the word about the applications being open far and wide, and let people know they can start applying as of now.

Additionally, I ask that if you know anyone involved in education, whether at the high school or college level, to let them know as well.  We want to spread the word far and wide.  Teachers, professors, guidance counselors, principals, financial aid officers, administrators . . .

Have you thought about a leadership role in Denver Astronomical Society?  It’s a great way to be involved in continuing to make DAS the great organization that it is. Do you know someone who would be great in a leadership role at DAS? 

Nominations for the election of Executive Board (“E-Board”) trustees and officers will open during January’s general membership meeting on Jan 29th, and will remain open until noon February 24th Denver time.

2021’s election is scheduled for our annual membership meeting on Friday, February 26th at our Virtual General Meeting using "ElectionBuddy.com" election management software (details to follow). The election is planned to open the morning of February 25th and will close at 9 PM February 26 during the General Meeting, to allow early voting.

Please be aware that the Virtual General Meeting on Friday June 5th is "Virtual" meaning that we will not be meeting in-person at ACC.

The good people at CSAS have announced that the RMSS 2020 event has been canceled. The notice here went up some time prior to May 4th.  The text reads:
